Electrolysis Versus Laser for Permanent Hair Removal
If you want permanent body hair removal, you’ll want to consider electrolysis versus laser. Electrolysis consists of inserting a tiny needle into the hair follicle and destroying it with a mild burst of electric current. It’s 100 percent permanent, but because it’s done one hair at a time, it’s not really practical for removing hair from large areas of the body. Laser hair removal directs a laser beam at a patch of hair, which is absorbed by the pigment that gives the hair its color. This produces heat in the hair shaft, damaging the follicle so it can’t regrow. Laser is considered semi-permanent but gets good results for large treatment areas and can become permanent with repeated application.
