Basic indoor bonsai care is important for every bonsai enthusiast

Even if you usually put your bonsai outdoors, you still need to know basic indoor bonsai care because some time you may need to put the plant indoors, especially during winter and rainy season. If your bonsai comes from tropical or subtropical region, it will not be able to stand cold weather. Most bonsais are placed in shallow pots and they are prone to freeze if you leave them in cold. In this case, you need to put the bonsai indoors. However, do not place it near the radiator or heater as it can dry up the soil and kill the plant. Leaving it near a closed window is also not a good idea as the cold can seep in and harm the bonsai.
