It Was My Idea
My son had horrible acne, and there is no other way to put it. But being a typical, macho, teenage boy, he refused to talk about finding something to clear up his skin, insisting that only girls use “fancy face lotions”. After months of subtle, and sometimes not so subtle encouragement, I finally got him to read some exposed acne treatment reviews. He read them, and then in a nonchalant voice, said “I guess I could try it, if it will make you happy.” Which was his way of saying that he thought it is a good idea, but couldn’t say so because it was mom’s idea. So he tried it, and it worked! Now, when someone compliments him, it was all his idea.
