Onlive is More a Niche Video Game Product
Onlive is currently a niche product that has the potential to grow into a huge business. The current advantage of the product is that people with low-latency internet connections can tap the computing power of server farms at Onlive. The major disadvantage of this product is its sensitivity to internet latency. Because users have little ability to solve connection issues that are inherently external to themselves, the user experience of Onlive can be frustrating at best. Anyhow, if Onlive can succeed in drawling enough peiople into it’s new system, it may become mainstream and create an entire market fo it’s own.
