Roommate To Switch Careers
My roommate wants to switch careers and work in employee development and training. She says that they do have this department established at her place of employment. They also have a tuition assistance program. What keeps standing in her way is her resistance and shyness in approaching her manager for a referral. She said that he is not her biggest fan even though she always tries to be helpful. He doesn’t see it that way and thinks she is always trying to tell him what to do instead. Apparently he is no open to constructive criticism and has put her job in jeopardy in the past as a result.
